Jen and Trevor’s Winter Wedding at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel

When we first met Jen and Trevor to chat about their winter wedding at The Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, they apologized to us because they thought that their party wouldn’t be as wild as the ones they’d seen on our blog. We just laughed, of course, and reassured them that we love all our weddings for the unique celebrations that they are. Their apology would have been just that – a funny little hint at how sweet, honest and humble Jen and Trevor truly are – except that their party was absolutely off-the-freakin’-hook! Shirts came off. Pants came off. The debauchery was simply legendary!

It all went down on a cold, cold day between Christmas and New Year’s, at a castle in the Canadian Rockies. While Jenna Anderson from Canmore & Banff Makeup Artistry worked her magic with Jen and the girls, Trevor and his boys enjoyed more than a few laughs (and possibly a few beverages) at the bar. What followed was a beautifully intimate ceremony witnessed by Jen and Trevor’s closest friends and family, including Jen’s mom, who’s presence was represented by a beautiful wreath in the front row.

Despite freezing cold temperatures, Jen and Trevor leapt at the opportunity to go outside for portraits. Nursing warm (possibly spiked) hot chocolates, they were both absolute troopers! Trevor was the consummate gentleman, snuggling Jen every chance he had to keep her warm.

Dinner was spectacular, speeches were hilarious, and Jen and Trevor’s first dance beneath a snow machine was pure magic!

And then… things got crazy! Fuelled by the dope sounds and live vocals of Kyemara, everyone just let loose on the dance floor. We had so much fun shooting it, we just couldn’t stop smiling.

The very last song of the night was a stirring rendition of Rihanna’s “Stay.” It was simply unreal. Everybody spontaneously formed a circle around Jen and Trevor while they slow danced beneath fluffy snow flakes. It was the perfect end to the perfect day. Thank you, Jen and Trevor, for trusting us with it’s memory!

Thank you to our associate photographer, Dana Cole, for assisting us on this one!
