We got to know Michelle and Peter during our engagement session with them this spring. This was when we learned that there would be 7 little kids in their bridal party. This made us quite excited and a little nervous. Excited, because lots of kids would mean lots of fun and candid moments to capture. Nervous, because – having kids of our own – we understand the challenges associated with nailing a ‘formal’ portrait with young kids. In the end, we resorted to making dramatic farting sounds from behind the lens, and voila, all the kids looked straight at the camera. And these kids were beyond adorable! Each flower girl held a customized pinwheel during their ceremony. Michelle put so much thought into the details of her wedding, at times we felt like we were in a pinterest board. Along with all the neat details was a beautiful celebration and a fun, super laid-back couple. They even let us drag them out at a half past midnight to photograph them beneath a blanket of stars.
