We’ve been excited for Tonia and Colin’s wedding for way too long. We first met these two at our very first Balls Out Workshop at the Chateau Lake Louise (back in 2013), where they graciously volunteered to model for our students. Fast forward two and a half years and we’re photographing their truly unique wedding. If there’s one thing we’ve learned about Tonia and Colin, it’s that they like to do things their own authentic way… and I say this with the upmost respect and admiration. Tonia and Colin’s “way” was to keep their wedding ceremony entirely secret from most of their family and all of their friends. Their wedding celebration was split over two weekends. The first was a small, intimate, incredibly emotional elopement with just a few key friends and family members. This was followed by an intimate party in the back of a limousine, and the best ever “Man in the Mirror” lip-sych I have ever witnessed. The 2nd weekend was at a rented cabin in the woods with close friends and a “Surprise We’re Married” Party. Tonia and Colin are two of the most genuine, authentic people we know, and their friends and family are no different. When they hug, they hug. When they cry, they cry. When they’re there, they’re there! We are so happy we got to be there too, with our cameras and our two very dear friends. We love you, Tonia and Colin.
