Krystle and Amr are a self-described “odd couple.” In Krystle’s own words, “I’m a conservative Texan native of Chinese-Filipino descent, raised in a strict Catholic home. He’s a rough-around-the-edges Jersey guy with Syrian roots raised in a strict Muslim family.” Together, however, these two just fit. They are opposites in so many ways, but compliment each other perfectly.
Krystle and Amr travelled all the way from New Jersey, USA to Banff, Canada to celebrate the occasion at the Banff Springs Castle in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It was an absolute pleasure and honour to be there with our cameras. I remember the two fathers shaking hands at the end of the ceremony, and thinking, “wow, what an honour to be capturing the joining together of two families, from such differing backgrounds.” It was a truly unique and beautiful experience.
From the morning round of golf on the world’s most spectacular course, to the anticipation-filled preparations (and naps), to the mountain vistas surrounding their intimate outdoor ceremony, to the care-free portraits, to the heartfelt speeches, to the wild kids on the dance floor… we enjoyed every minute of this beautiful multi-cultural celebration. Krystle & Amr, thank you for coming all the way to us, and for welcoming us so warmly into your beautiful lives.
