We first met Carla and Tina in the spring of 2012 as they were planning their Nakoda Lodge wedding, in Kananaskis Country, just west of Calgary. Fast forward a few months and Nakoda Lodge closes it’s doors to events and turns into a medical treatment facility, leaving Carla and Tina stranded, with 75 guests and no wedding venue. After some frantic searching they found Overlander Mountain Lodge…. a beautiful little gem, just outside of Jasper, Alberta. Lanny and I always tell people, it’s not the venue, not the cake, not the details, not the weather, not the dress that make a wedding truly beautiful. It’s the energy of the people involved, the chemistry between the couple and the love radiating from all their guests. Carla and Tina’s wedding was just that… a beautiful celebration among a truly wonderful group of friends and family. Documenting their day was a huge privilege.
