Mandy and Brad got married on a cold, blustery day in the middle of a very unpredictable Canadian fall. We had every kind of weather imaginable that day; rain, wind, snow. At one point, I think it was even raining ice pellets… but that didn’t stop these two sweethearts from enjoying their day to the fullest. Mandy and Brad told us months before their wedding that they were completely committed to going outside for portraits, no matter what the weather. This was music to our ears… and they totally lived up to this promise. Myself, Lanny and our assistant, Sandra, were dressed in multiple layers of down, fleece and Gore-tex, while Mandy was in a sleeveless wedding gown and Brad a thin suit. They didn’t stop smiling the entire session.
After the portraits, some delayering, and some toe and hand warming, we headed to their ceremony, which was held at The Lake House on Lake Bonavista; a beautifully unique venue made even more gorgeous and cozy by Lisa from Mountain Bride. Every detail was exquisite.
The night was finished off with dancing to the sounds of Side One, hands down one of the best cover bands we’ve ever heard.
It’s always an honour to have a talented professional photographer entrust us with their memories. Thank you Mandy and Brad.
